Engine Removal – Part 3

by Scott Slusser | Jun 22, 2012 | Photos

There is a lower shroud that needs to come off before the engine can be separated from the tranny
And it just slides away …
Removing the clutch.
Front of the clutch
Clutch friction plate
Inside the clutch
These bolts have to come off to free up the flywheel.
Once the flywheel is off there is plenty off room to attach the mounting claw for the engine stand.
Finally on the engine stand and ready to tear down the bottom half.
Much easier to work on up here
Todays work is done.

The Fiat 850 Project

The Fiat 850 Project is a chronicle of the restoration process of a 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider.  I use a combination of my own images and images/tables/logos I found on the internet while I was doing research. If you own one of these images, please let me know and I will credit you or take it down.
